Christmas Lights Display of the Day: Former Disney Imagineer and special effects specialist Ric Turner set his family up with a fully-functional, 21,268-bulb-strong Guitar Hero-themed arrangement, and programmed it to play Eric Johnson’s “Cliffs of Dover.”
Wait, it gets better:
When you play, you watch only the Christmas lights, but the audio you hear is from the Wii, so your flubs are broadcast for all to hear (people in cars can tune 99.1 and crank it up as loud as they want.) When we are not playing, a separate version of the program that has the audio from the recorded game plays with the lights as a loop.
Welp, Christmas is officially canceled. Nothing is topping this, so we might as well call the whole thing off.

The You-Vision Video Glasses make our nerd dream a reality. They’ve got a super secret little camera built into the bridge that records full motion video at the push of a button (just inches away from your face).
I officially dub this number one on my Christmas wish lists for all the nerdy girls and guys in this world.
is handmade gifts personal or is it Cheesey and "Cheap"?
This Christmas, I’m not really giving out a lot of presents. Not because I’m a scrooge but mainly because there aren’t that many people I want to give to. I mainly want to give to people that I know will actually LIKE the gifts I give them and actually cherish it as my love for them, that is… IF I do give them something.
At work, we are having a gift swap and my swap person seems pretty chill. But, I’m having a tough time putting her gift together. I was going to make her a scarf since I thought it’d be fun & hand made , then I was going to paint her a picture instead of a card. Yannooooo something she’d use outside of just the holidays. But now I’m second guessing myself since I think she might think it’s cheesey. We had a minimum of $10 and I bought her a Betsey Johnson necklace which didn’t cost me much. But I couldn’t JUST give her a necklace so I was gonna throw in the handmade stuff to make it a bit more personal.
But is handmade personal? or is it Cheesey and “Cheap”? What’s your take?
It smells like christmas everywhere I go.
It’s really hard to avoid the “holiday cheer”, every where you go around this time. You can try to avoid it but it’ll sneak up on you when you aren’t even paying attention. The ringing to the salvation army donation bells, the scents of gingerbread and apple cinnamon. I don’t even really care about presents I just like the thought of being with family and having all the fun christmas decor around.
I don’t know what it is about christmas music but I could listen to it for hours and still NOT get sick of it. It just puts me in a splendid mood. I was at the grocery store and without even realizing it I ended up singing along to the music. I didn’t even realize until a lady started staring at me. O.o I guess I’m not that good of a singer lol
